Our Home
Our Home
When we moved back to Utah from Hawaii, we moved into the basement of Rob’s parent’s house. During this time, we saved money to pay off student debt, IVF treatments, and save for a home of our own. At times, it felt like we’d never have our own home.
We looked at many houses, but never felt like any of them were supposed to be our home. When we walked through a model house similar to the house we ended up buying, it felt like home! In 2018, we built our house in Lehi, Utah.
We chose to move to Lehi because we loved the area! We believe our home has the best views! We can see Mt. Timpanogos, the lights of Thanksgiving Point, and all the way to Saratoga Springs. On the 4th of July and New Year’s Eve we have a 360 degree view of fireworks! It’s amazing!
Janelle’s parents live around the corner from us. We spend a lot of time with them going hiking, walking, sledding, going to the Lehi Round-Up Rodeo, and many other adventures.
Our nieces and nephews love visiting us so that they can see the cows and horses in the pastures around our neighborhood, go to the parks within walking distance, go swimming at the Lehi Recreation Center, and get ice cream at Macey’s grocery store or donuts at the Lehi Bakery.

- Each year we buy a new Christmas decoration and whenever we travel we buy a Christmas ornament. We love to decorate for Christmas! To us, Christmas is the most wonderful time of year!
- Each year, we love celebrating the Super Bowl by making food and watching the Big Game!
- Visiting our home site everyday during the building process and having our entire family help us move in.

- Currently, our home is 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, 2 car garage, a large kitchen, dining room, laundry room and 2 living rooms. It is 2 stories plus an unfinished basement.
- Rob and my dad are finishing our basement. When it is done, it will add 2 more bedrooms, another bathroom, another kitchen, another family room, and another laundry room.
